About Kingsley Yorkshire Terrier
Over twenty years of breeding experience

Our love for Yorkshire Terriers began in 1980 after purchasing a Yorkie from a pet shop. I loved her very much, but she developed severe health problems and died at age 3.

At that time we thought that there had to be a way of breeding Yorkies that are adorable and healthy. We did not want our customers to have to go through the same experience and heartache we had. So in 1981 we began breeding Yorkies and have been in business ever since.

So with that mission in mind our business began in a New York City brownstone which consisted of two floors and a small garden for the dogs to exercise.

We decided, in 1987, that we did not have enough room for the dogs to get adequate exercise and fresh air thus deciding it was time to buy a house in the suburbs of Long Island, NY.

We have been at our present address in Farmingville, NY since 1988, in a house perfectly suited for the dogs and us.
